Overview

Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu was founded durring the late 13th century in fall of the year 1167, by Mbónvóch Gä̌s 'Garnet Pride' Yāsh Yoīnv Mā̌ Yadequg. The establishment of Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Mbónvóch Gä̌s 'Garnet Pride' Yāsh Yoīnv Mā̌ Yadequg electing to pay people to resettle in Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu.

Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu is buildings have been located at convienant points along the rivers Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the restrictive flagstone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The town's millitarily questionable fortifications have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu is like looking into a university’s plaza on the day before an exam. People rush about to-and-fro. Discarded scrolls and quills are dotted around town. In spite of many locals discussing academic topics, there’s little sign of any organized groups for any of that talk. Infact, the town seems disordered in general with everything scattered helter skelter about.

A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Ådehlÿ Ȳ̈hrn Låcu's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.
